About the Event
Just Breathe is an annual PDW event that provides an opportunity to get away and unplug from life's demands. We find fellowship with our sisters and meet with God in the beauty of nature as we trade our cares for His promises of love and peace. This year, Just Breathe will be a two-day event starting with a night of fellowship and then a light walking trail at Pearson Fall's in Saluda, NC.
Friday night will consist of fellowship/a sleepover at one of our sister's houses on Friday, May 17th at 7:00pm in Gastonia, NC. There is a max of 12 people who can sleepover (indoor campout style 😊). However, if you would like to come just for the fellowship and dinner and not stay the night, you are more than welcome to! The following day, we will head to Pearson Falls Saturday morning for a day of fellowship, stillness, reflection, and restoration. For those interested in carpooling on Saturday morning, we will meet at our sister's house at 7:30am for a light grab & go breakfast and depart at 8:30am. If you would prefer to meet us at Pearson Falls, you are more than welcomed to. We plan to arrive at 10am.
This event will cost $25 dollars for those who are coming and/or staying overnight on FRIDAY or $20 for those who are ONLY attending Saturday. Friday's cost includes dinner, breakfast/snacks, lunch and the entrance fee for the falls. Saturday's cost will cover snacks, lunch, and the entrance fee. If you are ONLY coming for dinner Friday night, you are more than welcome to contribute $5 to the dinner, but it is not required to attend. The cost can be paid in cash or sent to Kaye through CashApp at $Krestore under Kasorn Davis (please be sure to indicate your payment is for "Just Breathe 2024" in the subject line when paying). We provide financial sponsorship as well. All you have to do is indicate this need when registering for the event. We also accept tax exempt donations to sponsor an attendee through our website.
